Development
What are the stages of a project with Elitepharm, from the initial idea to the final product?
At Elitepharm Laboratoires, you have one single contact to guide you through the various stages of your project:
- Design and development
- Laboratory testing
- Selection of packaging items
- Creation of visuals for your labels
- Review of your labels by our regulatory department
- Production and packaging
- Product control and release
- And finally, delivery!
We guarantee to provide you with personalized service and to coordinate with you throughout the entire process.
Does developing a new product entail costs?
The cost of developing a new product depends on the complexity of the project and the ingredients. Details can be discussed in a personal interview.
What information do Elitepharm need in order to process my request?
To process your request efficiently, we need the following information:
- The galenic form required and the ingredients to be included, or excluded
- Type of packaging required: pill pack, blister pack, doypack, etc.
- Your estimated order volume for the first year
- Target markets or countries
- Your target purchase price, so that we can tailor our proposals to your objectives.

Packaging
What are the packaging options available?
For capsules, we offer different types of packaging: glass, plastic or cardboard pillboxes with screw-on or snap-on lids, and Pressure Sensitive or IHS (induction) closures. We also offer blister packs and doypacks, as well as several packaging personalization options such as single or booklet labels, heat-shrink sleeves, cartons and cellophaning.
Does Elitepharm Laboratoires provide product labeling texts?
We can provide you with the mandatory labeling information required by the INCO regulation.
Can we supply our own packaging items, rather than the options offered by Elitepharm?
Yes, we simply ask for data sheets and samples to check their compatibility with our production lines.
Products
What types of galenics do you offer?
We manufacture various galenic forms, such as capsules, powders, tablets, softgel capsules and vials. Capsules are manufactured at our Eckbolsheim site in Alsace, France.
What capsule sizes do you offer?
We offer a range of capsule sizes (Size 1, 0, 00) and types (HPMC, bovine gelatin, pullulan, gastro-resistant). We also offer colored capsules, although these are subject to minimum quantity constraints depending on their color.
Are there standard products, or a standard price list?
Elitepharm Laboratoires offers customized development. Therefore, we do not offer standard products. Prices vary according to your project.
Is there a list of referenced ingredients?
Yes! The list is constantly evolving to meet your needs and projects.
Do you make organic, vegan, halal or kosher products?
In addition to being able to manufacture Ecocert-certified organic products, our nutraceutical laboratory can meet specific requirements, such as vegan and halal. We do not offer kosher products at the moment. Please do not hesitate to contact us for any other certification.
Is it possible to supply our own ingredients rather than those offered by Elitepharm Laboratoires?
At Elitepharm Laboratoires, we give priority to full service development to ensure complete control of the process. Should you have any special requests, please do not hesitate to contact us.
Regulation
Does Elitepharm offer regulatory advice on labeling?
We are not a regulatory firm. However, we assume our share of responsibility by providing you with the mandatory labeling information required by the INCO regulation. Our experience also allows us to highlight certain labeling issues that we consider sensitive.
How can you guarantee that the products I receive meet quality requirements in accordance with the latest laws and regulations?
We are committed to a continuous improvement process, which is reinforced by our ISO 22 000 and GMP certifications. These certifications guarantee the safety and quality of your food supplements. In addition, our regulatory team constantly monitors and updates our procedures and their controls in accordance to the latest regulations. Our quality department ensures these procedures are properly implemented, through regular inspections and internal audits.
What regulatory services do you offer?
Our regulatory team will provide you with the technical file for your products. We can also handle products notification in France and Germany.
Do you provide a bibliographic file for the products I receive?
We do not provide bibliographic files. However, we will provide you with a technical file and a quality file for your products.
Do I also receive a technical data sheet with the specifications of my products? What do they look like?
Yes, we provide you with a complete technical file including: formula and ingredients, physico-chemical criteria, microbiological criteria, details of packaging items, marking (batch and minimum durability date – MDD), palletization, analyses of finished products, sending of samples and documents.
Orders
What are the minimum order quantities at Elitepharm Laboratoires?
Minimum order quantities vary according to product: 60,000 capsules for mono-ingredients, 100,000 for a customized formula, 50,000 vials, and 100,000 to 200,000 tablets or softgel capsules. For doypacks, the minimum order is 500 units, depending on capacity.
Delivery
What is the average time between product request and delivery?
The time between product request and delivery depends on the ingredients selected, the complexity of the formula, and the galenic form. Generally speaking, development and production take 3 months each. For a more precise estimate for your project, please contact us.
